Our Group Classes (4) are a very important aspect of LSOMA’s curriculum. The students have the opportunity to experience an interactive class with guest instructors who are invited to share their expertise and love for what they do. Exposing children to all kinds of music teaches them about the world and other cultures. Some of our instructors include: John Santos (Afro-Latin percussion), Emily Shisko (Create Your Own Song!), Bob Athayde (Jazz piano/bass/drums), Philip Wong (Musical Theater), Jackie Rago (Afro-Venezuelan music), and Frank Martin (Brazilian Grooves).
Our Theory Classes (5) are taught in a playful environment where students have the opportunity to develop their musicianship skills. Our singing and writing activities are designed for the students to play together, and for them to be good team members. The goal is to learn enjoying the process!
